Facts updated 2026-04

Kakobuy is a China-based shopping agent that buys from Taobao, Tmall, JD.com, 1688 and Weidian on your behalf, checks the goods in its own warehouse and then forwards them internationally. It charges no item service commission, offers 100 days of free storage and applies a payment fee of roughly 4.5%.

About Kakobuy

Kakobuy is operated by EVERYDAY GO INC and presents itself as a one-stop platform for procurement, inspection, freight forwarding, customs clearance and bonded warehousing. Its users come mainly from Poland, the United States, Spain, Canada and the United Kingdom, and the platform reports more than 6.5 million monthly visitors with close to ten page views per user, according to the traffic data it cites. Orders can be sourced from Tmall, Taobao, JD.com, 1688 and Weidian, with Weidian, Yupoo, Xianyu, Yougou and WeChat sellers handled through a manual product-search order form. Community product lists, including Reddit, Discord and TikTok finds, are the usual way buyers discover links, and Kakobuy's own operation runs an official Discord server alongside its app. On cost, the agent's stated structure is the item price plus domestic shipping converted at a published exchange rate, a payment fee of about 4.5%, international shipping, any duty, and optional add-on services. Kakobuy says it levies no separate service commission, and the fee information gathered here was current in April 2026 — treat it as a starting point for your own checkout rather than a fixed tariff.

What works well

1

No service commission on the item itself: you pay the product price, domestic shipping, roughly 4.5% in payment fees and the international shipping quote.

2

100 days of free warehouse storage, which is long enough to combine several separate orders into one parcel.

3

Three free QC photos per item, covering style, quantity, colour, size and model, plus a prohibited-goods screen before shipping.

4

One of the largest agent platforms by traffic, with more than 6.5 million monthly visits and a user base weighted towards Poland, the United States, Spain, Canada and the United Kingdom.

5

Wide payment coverage for US buyers, including PayPal, major card networks, Wise and bank transfer.

6

A published catalogue of add-on services, so extra photos, priority buying and packing upgrades are priced rather than improvised.

What to check

1

All fees, exchange rates and coupons quoted on this page come from material published in April 2026. Kakobuy's payment fee, shipping rates and promotional credits move often, so confirm the live numbers at checkout before you pay.

2

Return and exchange requests normally have to be submitted within 5 days of the warehouse check-in. Miss the window and the item can no longer be returned.

3

QC covers colour, size, model, quantity and visible damage. Kakobuy does not inspect materials or workmanship, and it does not verify authenticity or electronics functions for sealed items.

4

Perfume, electronics and other sensitive categories need dedicated shipping lines and may be limited or refused. Confirm eligibility with the agent before ordering.

5

Duty on non-duty-free routes is the buyer's responsibility, and the reference thresholds the agent publishes for the United States look out of date after the 2025 de minimis change. Verify duty treatment for your route before shipping.

6

Kakobuy only supplies a payment screenshot as proof for customs clearance on agent purchases. It does not issue invoices or receipts.

Is Kakobuy legitimate?

Kakobuy is a real, operating agent rather than a lookalike domain. Buyers verify it through public communities on Reddit, TikTok and Instagram, and the platform runs an app, a customer-service address and an official Discord server that doubles as its feedback channel. As with any agent, legitimacy is separate from performance: the sensible check is to place a small first order, read the QC photos carefully and only scale up once the parcel lands.

Why Kakobuy is busy

The mix that keeps Kakobuy at the top of the traffic tables is procurement, quality inspection and forwarding in one account, combined with competitive shipping rates and a coupon programme. Around 82% of its social referrals come from YouTube and Reddit, which is where haul and unboxing videos and rep-community subreddits live, and a large share of the rest arrives via third-party finds tools and spreadsheet directories. Over half its users are in Europe, and the app ships with Polish, Spanish, Dutch and Italian interfaces.

What you actually pay

Kakobuy states that it levies no service commission, and that its costs are the domestic product price, domestic shipping, a payment fee of about 4.5%, international shipping, any duty, and whatever optional add-ons you select. The fee structure is meant to be published rather than bundled: exchange rate 6.19 on the April 2026 figures, no additional transaction fee on top of the payment charge, and add-ons priced individually. The worked example the platform gives is an item at 24.23 yuan plus 2.43 yuan domestic shipping, which lands at 28.26 yuan, or $1.10. Re-run the maths at checkout, because rates move.

Customs thresholds and duty

Below a country's duty threshold, a standard personal parcel is generally not duty-assessed unless the declaration is false. Where duty does apply, the recipient pays it and assists with clearance; Kakobuy describes this as rare, affecting under 1% of parcels, though US rules changed in 2025 and the thresholds below are the agent's own reference values. The published table lists: United States $800, Japan $130, South Korea $150, New Zealand $300, Singapore $300, Spain $30, Canada 20 Canadian dollars, United Kingdom 15 pounds, European Union 22 euros, Switzerland 100 Swiss francs (VAT threshold 65 francs), Australia 1,000 Australian dollars. Canada and European customs inspect relatively strictly, and commercial couriers such as DHL attract duty more often. Weight and quantity drive the personal-versus-commercial call: parcels over about 10 kg, or packed with identical units, are likely to be treated as commercial. Kakobuy clears duty-free routes on your behalf; on non-duty-free routes the fees are yours, and for agent purchases it supplies only a payment screenshot as proof of value, never an invoice.

Add-on services and their prices

Inspection and handling extras are priced rather than free. Per item: extra photography at $0.32 a shot and priority buying at $0.80 per order. Per parcel: 30 extra storage days at $1.61 per order, item reinforcement at $1.61 per instance, package preview at $2.90 and vacuum packing at $3.23, with package photography free. On a heavy, bulky haul, reinforcement and vacuum packing are often the difference between a reasonable and an eye-watering shipping quote.

How to use Kakobuy

1Step 1 - Find the item

Type a keyword such as sneakers into the Kakobuy search bar, or upload a product photo to run an image search. You can also open Taobao, Weidian or 1688, copy the product link and paste it into Kakobuy, follow buyer reviews on Reddit, Discord or TikTok, or work straight from a community finds list.

2Step 2 - Confirm the listing details

Open the product page and check colour, size, material and model against what you actually want. Sizes and colourways are often split across separate options, so read the variant list before you copy anything into your cart.

3Step 3 - Order and pay

Place the order inside Kakobuy and pay. Before you commit, check whether the seller offers a no-questions-asked return or exchange; custom items such as outsize shoes or printed jerseys are usually final sale. Confirm that the item is legal to ship to your country, that perfume stays within the one-bottle-per-package limit, and that electronics have a dedicated route.

4Step 4 - Wait, then inspect the QC photos

Sellers usually ship in 48 to 72 hours. If nothing is dispatched after about five days, ask Kakobuy for a refund. When the parcel reaches the warehouse you get three free QC photos per item: style, colour, size, model, quantity and visible damage are checked, not materials or workmanship. Submit any return or exchange request within five days of check-in.

5Step 5 - Consolidate and ship

Once you are ready, combine items into one international parcel and pick a carrier. Kakobuy's own figures quote a USPS tax-free line to the United States from roughly $38.50 for 1 kg with 7-13 day transit, with Kakobuy handling customs declaration; European parcels may go via DHL Germany. PayPal checkout carries a 2.9% + $0.30 processing charge in the agent's published example, and the checkout also accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and JCB.

Does Kakobuy charge a service fee on spreadsheet orders?
Kakobuy states that no service commission applies. The cost stack is the item price plus domestic shipping at its published rate (6.19 in the April 2026 figures), a roughly 4.5% payment fee, international postage, any duty and optional add-ons. Re-check the numbers at checkout.
How long will Kakobuy store my items, and what does QC cover?
Storage is free for 100 days from check-in, with an email reminder before it expires. Three free QC photos per item cover style, quantity, colour, size and model, plus a prohibited-goods screen. Materials, workmanship and electronics functionality are not verified.
How does Kakobuy handle US customs and duty?
Kakobuy offers duty-free shipping routes and clears them on your behalf; the agent said in April 2025 that these cost about $5-$10 more per parcel than standard lines. On non-duty-free routes you handle clearance and duty yourself. US rules changed in 2025, so verify before shipping.
