Editorial policy
What we publish
USFansUS publishes hands-on reviews, buying guides and comparison tables for fan gear: replica jerseys, scarves, caps, training wear and collectibles. Every product that appears in a hands-on review has been ordered and tested by our testing team and carries a score on our five-point scale, where 5 is excellent and 1 is very poor.
How we work
We order featured products at retail and pay for them from the desk budget.
We test to the same written checklist for every product, so a scarf and a cap are judged by published criteria rather than by impression.
We keep reference copies on the workroom shelf for later comparison tables.
We publish the test date with every score, and we update the date whenever a product is retested.
What we do not do
We do not sell scores, rankings or placement in a guide.
We do not accept a supplier's edits to a review text or a score.
We do not run paid placements inside editorial reviews. Any sponsored unit is labelled as sponsored and kept separate from the review desk.
Authors and accountability
Every article carries a named editor from our three-person desk. Our on-site author pages are the only profiles we maintain. If we get something wrong, our corrections policy explains how to flag it and how we respond.
Ratings use the full five-point scale: 5 excellent, 4 good, 3 adequate, 2 poor and 1 very poor. Explain the criteria and relevant measurements; use an unscored guide when essential evidence is unavailable.
