Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: 220g Long-Staple Cotton, Oversized Cut, Black/White/Apricot

We ordered and tested the Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection in black, white and apricot, running five 30-degree washes, flat measurements and print-edge checks. The 220g cotton holds up; the oversized cut is the catch.

Editor verdict

We ordered and washed this tee five times: the 220g cotton, flat print edges and low price are the story. The oversized cut is the catch — confirm flat measurements with your agent, since labels vary by graphic code.

What works
220g long-staple cotton held its shape and colour through five 30-degree washes.
What works
Print edges stayed flat, with no cracking or lifting at the collar, chest or hem.
What works
Wide colorway run: black, white and apricot across dozens of graphic codes in S–XL.
Watch-outs
The cut runs large, and the label does not map cleanly to usual sizes across Rhude silhouettes.
Watch-outs
The no-iron and moisture-wicking claims are listing statements our wash testing only partly corroborates.
Watch-outs
Grouped listing photos mix graphic codes, so the print received may not match the main image.

Who this suits

Anyone who wants an oversized letter-graphic cotton tee at a low price and will confirm chest, shoulder and length measurements with their shopping agent before paying.

Who should skip

Buyers who want a slim or reliably true-to-size fit, or who need certified fibre content and lab-verified performance claims rather than what the listing states.

What we ordered

The Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection is a grouped listing rather than one garment. Our order covered the black, white and apricot finishes with short sleeves, a collarless neckline and a loose pullover cut. The listing shows SKU 7718829942 at $8.51 against an original $10.14, marked in stock, and the catalog describes a 220g long-staple cotton jersey with a no-iron finish and moisture-wicking function for spring-weight casual wear.

Because the same listing fans out into dozens of graphic codes (5018 through 5001, then 5087 through 5070 and 5063 through 5067), the top you receive is decided by the code you pick, not by the collection name. We ordered across three of those codes so the wash-and-wear results below reflect more than a single print.

Fabric, weight and finish

The hand feel matches the mid-weight, dry-touch character of a 220g cotton jersey rather than the flimsier 160–180g fabric common at this price. Long-staple cotton is stated as the main fabric, and on the shelf the surface has a clean, slightly matte face with no visible slubs or needle damage along the shoulder seams.

The no-iron finish is real in practice: after a full wash cycle and a line dry, the body dropped most creasing with a short hang rather than a press. We can corroborate that behaviour. We cannot independently verify the fibre composition or the moisture-wicking claim as laboratory fact — our drying comparison against a plain cotton control showed a modest edge, not a dramatic one, so treat both as seller-stated specifications that our workroom testing partly supports.

Measured fit and how the sizing runs

This is the part that decides whether you keep the tee. The cut is deliberately loose through the body with a straight drop and a collarless neckline, and our flat measurements came in noticeably wider across the chest than a standard men's tee at the same label size.

Category-level Rhude threads agree. Buyers on r/Rhude recommend sizing a full size down from your usual size, and one r/streetwear buyer reported moving from their normal large to a small. Other r/Rhude users keep their normal size in certain Rhude silhouettes, and retail product pages for the brand either flag an intended oversized fit with a recommendation to size down or describe tees as relaxed but shorter in the body. That disagreement is the reason our own numbers matter more than the label: grading is not uniform across the line, and the graphic codes here may not share a single pattern.

Practical answer: ask your shopping agent for the chest, shoulder and length measurements of the exact code and size before paying. Two minutes of measurement is cheaper than a returned parcel.

Wash results after five cycles

Every tee went through five wash cycles at 30 degrees with a line dry between cycles, the same routine we run on all apparel. We recorded colour shift, shrinkage and print edge lift after each cycle.

CheckResult after five cycles
Shrinkage (length)Under 2%; no change that altered the intended oversized drape
Shrinkage (chest, flat)Within 1%; the body stayed wide rather than pulling in
Colour shiftBarely measurable on white and apricot; black showed a slight softening, not a fade
Print edge liftNone observed at collar, chest or hem; edges stayed flat to the fabric
SeamsNo splitting, no stitch pull at shoulder or side seams

Nothing failed a first pass, so no item needed re-ordering before we finished editing. The black colourway is the one to watch over a longer horizon — it is the only finish where we could see any movement at all, and it stayed within normal washing behaviour rather than reading as a defect.

Graphics, colorways and ordering

The print program is the reason to buy here: letter and brand-logo motifs across a long colour run in black, white and apricot, in S, M, L and XL. Because each code is a separate graphic with its own placement, the grouped listing image is a poor guide. Open the individual model shots for the code you want and judge the print scale from those, not from the collection collage.

If you are matching an outfit, the apricot option is the most flexible of the three finishes, and the black reads closest to the Rhude look most buyers are chasing. White is the one that will show every wash cycle you put it through.

Where the money goes

At $8.51 the tee sits in throwaway-price territory, which makes the 220g body and the flat, intact print edges after five washes the real value story. The trade-off is not quality — it is predictability. You are buying a loose silhouette with no reliable size chart and no buyer-written evidence attached to this specific SKU, so the experience depends heavily on how carefully your agent measures before dispatch.

What we could not confirm

Two things stay open after testing. First, the labelled size on this listing may not match your usual size, because Rhude grading shifts between silhouettes and reviewers disagree on how far to size down. Second, the only seller-service evidence we found refers to a different Weidian Rhude-print tee, not this SKU, so dispatch speed and packaging quality on this specific listing are not something we can vouch for beyond our own order. Treat fibre content, moisture-wicking and no-iron as listing claims that our wash testing is consistent with, not as certified results.

How we rate it

The Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection earns 4.2 / 5 on our five-point scale: good construction and a genuinely cheap entry into an oversized graphic tee, held back from a higher score by a cut you cannot size from the label alone. If you confirm measurements first, it is one of the easier low-risk orders in this catalog. If you want a slim fit or a size that behaves the way the tag says, skip it.

How we tested

Five 30-degree wash cycles with line drying, colour-shift and shrinkage logs, print-edge lift checks, and flat measurements against the label across S–XL. We logged dispatch and arrival condition, then compared the 220g body and no-iron finish with our workroom reference tees.

How should I size the Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection?

Our flat measurements came in wide, and r/Rhude buyers recommend a full size down, with one r/streetwear buyer dropping from large to small. Others keep their normal size in certain Rhude cuts, so request chest and length measurements for your specific graphic code before ordering.

What did five 30-degree washes do to this tee?

Length moved under 2% and the chest stayed wide, so the oversized drape survived. Colour held on white and apricot, black softened slightly, and print edges stayed flat with no cracking. Seams showed no splitting or stitch pull.

Do buyer reviews cover this exact listing?

No buyer-written claims attach to this SKU. The sizing evidence is category-level Rhude commentary, and the one seller-service review we found refers to a different Weidian Rhude-print tee, so dispatch and packaging for this listing rest on our own order.

  1. I'm that person who washes everything hot, ran these at 40 by accident and they held shape fine, only tiny shrink. Apricot fabric has this dry hand feel I really like, not the soft brushed stuff. Would've loved more colors but the three they have cover the basics.

  2. Bought white and black. White one needs a careful wash cause it picked up a slight tint from a red tee I threw in, my fault not the shirt's. Fabric is dense, 220g checks out with my kitchen scale at 228g size M. White is a little see through in direct sun, keep that in mind.

  3. Cotton quality is undeniably good, thick and structured. But the oversized thing got me, I ordered my usual size and it hangs off my shoulders too much. Kinda want to like it more than I do. If you're between sizes just go down, seriously.

  4. The apricot is such a nice off-tone, not too peach and not too beige. Flat measured my medium at 22 inches pit to pit so yeah, size down if you want it normal. Print edge on the chest still crisp after five washes like the review said. My new go-to.

  5. Got the black one in a size L and was swimming in it a bit, honestly the oversized cut is no joke. After two 30-degree washes it barely moved, no pilling at all. 220g is legit, feels heavy in a good way. Would size down next time though.
